Kate Winslet, born on 5 October 1975, is an acclaimed English actress known for her roles in independent films and period dramas. She has won an Academy Award, a Grammy, two Emmys, five BAFTAs, and five Golden Globes. Named one of the world's most influential people by Time magazine in 2009 and 2021, she was appointed a Commander of the British Empire in 2012.
