Michael Jordan

"Michael Jordan, born February 17, 1963, is a retired American professional basketball player and successful businessman. Widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, he played 15 seasons in the NBA, primarily with the Chicago Bulls, winning six championships and becoming a global cultural icon.
Jordan started his career at the University of North Carolina, winning a national championship in 1982. He joined the Bulls in 1984, quickly becoming a star with his scoring and defensive skills. Known for his slam dunks, he earned the nicknames ""Air Jordan"" and ""His Airness."" He led the Bulls to three consecutive championships from 1991 to 1993, briefly retired to play baseball, then returned to lead them to three more titles from 1996 to 1998. Jordan played his final two NBA seasons with the Washington Wizards from 2001 to 2003.
He also represented the United States in international basketball, winning four gold medals, including two at the Summer Olympics. Jordan's individual achievements include six NBA Finals MVP awards, ten scoring titles, five regular season MVP awards, and the 1988 Defensive Player of the Year. Holding the NBA record for career regular season and playoff scoring averages, he was named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN. Jordan is a two-time inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and a member of the ""Dream Team"" in the FIBA Hall of Fame.
Aside from basketball, Jordan is known for endorsing products, notably Nike's Air Jordan sneakers. He starred in ""Space Jam"" and was featured in the documentary ""The Last Dance."" He became part-owner of the Charlotte Hornets in 2006, later acquiring controlling interest, and founded 23XI Racing in NASCAR. Jordan became the NBA's first billionaire player and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016. As of 2023, his net worth is estimated at $3 billion."
